Abstract
La presente investigación propone el diseño de un modelo de gerencia estratégica para complementar los servicios de salud en el Hospital General Machala, en el cual se describen los principales modelos estratégicos en los servicios de salud, se identificaron los factores que afectan la calidad de los servicios sanitarios y la satisfacción en el ámbito hospitalario, que mediante un análisis situacional de salud se puede caracterizar y analizar los servicios de salud. La metodología de investigación es de tipo descriptiva de diseño no experimental, ya que se dedica a determinar el problema en el entorno que se ejecuta, desarrollado bajo el método analítico analizando de forma directa las variables de la investigación, la muestra representativa fue 385 usuarios internos y externos. Como conclusión se identificaron los factores que afectan la calidad de los servicios y la satisfacción del usuario, el cual los servicios de hospitalización han superado su capacidad resolutiva, pocos especialistas, limitada cartera de servicios por lo cual se propone diseñar un modelo de gerencia que garantice la buena atención del usuario y ampliar la cartera de servicios de salud el mismo que permitirá que exista una mejor organización en los distintos departamentos que conforman esta casa de salud.
