Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Şirket Cumhuriyetin ilk millileştirilen şirketi olması açısından da son derece önemlidir.\nSUMMARY\nThis study of ours consists of the late quarter of the 19th century and the early quarter of the 20th century(1875-1933).\nThe topic of our study is ‘Terkos Water Company’, which is also called ‘Istanbul Water Company’, or ‘Dersaadet Water Company’.\nThe main source of our thesis is comprised of the documents regarding this topic found in the Prime Ministry Ottoman archives . The company is the multi-partnered Ottoman Anonymous Company ,which was established after the French were granted some privileges. \nThe company used to sell water to houses, workshops, mills and factories either directly or indirectly. They fulfilled this sale function by means of ‘subscription and water hours systems’.This system was the first in The Ottoman Empire and it was an innovation.\nThe company also became a pioneer to the other water delivery companies given privileges with reference to this. \nThe company pledged to give water free of charge to some state institutions such as hospitals, military areas and fire brigades ,in accordance with an article in the company contract. That was also a first. The company even continued to serve till 1930s, following the Proclamation of the Republic. Then it was nationalised.\nIt also carries a lot of weight with reference to the fact that it was the first company to be nationalised during the Republican period.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
