Alfred Prufrock," with the aim of teasing out the stakes for contemporary citizenship when subjects are exhausted of their capacity for judgment and action.The essay proposes a strategy for reading Eliot"s poem as a resource for thinking critically not only about the character of "the citizen"s voice" in the modern age, but also about the tension between political judgment and the face-to-face encounter.Cet essai critique utilise la communication politique et la philosophie politique pour analyser un pome de T.S. Eliot : La chanson d"amour de J. Alfred Prufrock .Le but est de mettre en relief les enjeux de la citoyennet contemporaine, particulirement lorsque les individus sont vids de leur capacit de jugement et d"action.Cet article conoit le pome d"Eliot comme une ressource pour la pense critique, qu"il s"agisse de caractriser la voix du citoyen ou de montrer la tension qui s"tablit entre le jugement politique et la rencontre face--face.
