Abstract
L'objectif de ce mémoire est d'améliorer les modèles de prévisions en période de crise pour l'économie canadienne et québécoise. Deux techniques sont proposées pour capter les périodes de ralentissement, soit l'ajout de la probabilité de récession au modèle autorégressif tel que proposé par Kotchoni et Stevanovic (2020) et la correction des prévisions par la méthode des k plus proches voisins développée par Guerron-Quintana et Zhong (2017). Une des particularités de la recherche est de tester plusieurs écarts de taux d'intérêt canadiens pour comparer le pouvoir prédictif de différentes portions de la structure à terme sur l'activité économique. Les variables d'intérêts sont le taux de croissance de l'emploi et le taux de croissance du PIB. Un exercice de prévision hors échantillon est réalisé pour comparer les différents modèles proposés.
