Abstract
The mission to Tanzania was arranged in response to a request received from the Bureau of Statistics (Government of Tanzania) seeking ECA’s assistance in the following areas: Sample Surveys, Labor Enumeration Survey, Data Processing, National Accounts and Agricultural Statistics. The purpose of the mission was to make an on-the-spot assessment of the need for assistance and to recommend on the action that ECA could take to assist the Bureau in providing more relevant and timely data in the specified fields of statistics. This survey was initiated in late fifties and with some modifications from time to time to time it has been maintained as a series.
