Abstract
La capa de ozono sigue sufriendo los estragos que ocasionan las sustancias contaminantes y que destruyen a ésta, como son los \nCFCs el cual contienen dentro de su composición química al Cloro, así como otras sustancias. \nA la luz del sol estas sustancias reaccionan y se descomponen dejando libres al elemento cloro, las cuales interactúan con el \nozono estratosférico destruyendo sus enlaces químicos para posteriormente disminuir su concentración. \nDebido a estos procesos que ocurren en la atmósfera el Perú, como país miembro del Protocolo de Montreal, viene reduciendo \npoco a poco el consumo de los productos químicos que destruyen la capa de ozono y además por intermedio del SENAMHI viene monitoreando el estado de la capa de ozono en la región central del país con la finalidad de alertar a la comunidad científica nacional e internacional sobre su variabilidad temporal y posible deterioro.
