Abstract
Objetivo: determinar las alteraciones del desarrollo motor en niños prematuros del Programa de Control de Crecimiento y Desarrollo en el Hospital Domingo Olavegoya de Jauja y su asociación con características sociodemográficas y clínicas. \nMaterial y Métodos: Se llevó a cabo un estudio descriptivo de tipo transversal en 120 niños prematuros en Huancayo, Perú. Para determinar las alteraciones del desarrollo motor se utilizó la Escala Motora Infantil de Alberta. \nResultados: La frecuencia de alteraciones del desarrollo motor en niños prematuros fue de 50%. Las alteraciones del desarrollo motor tuvieron asociación estadísticamente significativa con la edad de la madre (p<0,001), el número de abortos (p<0,001) y la paridad (p<0,001). \nConclusiones: \nLa tasa de frecuencia obtenida en este estudio es alta en relación a otros estudios internacionales; por lo tanto, es necesario capacitar al personal de salud para disminuir estos porcentajes.
