Abstract
RÉSUMÉ : En Algérie, depuis la crise économique de 1988, la petite production marchande clandestine a connu une expansion considérable. Aujourd'hui, certaines de ces petites productions ont réussi leur transition pour adopter la forme juridique de la SARL et sont appelées à conduire des projets intergénérationnels. Nous sélectionnons une PME algérienne dans la conduite de son projet de transmission au Québec. Nous constatons que le système de gouvernance de la PME étudiée est dominé par des traits culturels kabyles, caractérisés par des instances de gouvernance informelles telles que les réunions familiales, la djemaâ et les valeurs patriarcales, qui ont exercé une influence négative sur le déroulement des projets de transmission. Nous avons utilisé une méthode qualitative, incluant l'autopraxéographie, et nous nous appuyons également sur des romans autobiographiques pour illustrer le paysage socio-culturel algérien. Les résultats de l'étude démontrent que la concentration des dirigeants, la structure de propriété qui se caractérise par l'indivision et la dimension informelle de l'entreprise entravent la planification stratégique du projet. Enfin, l'héritage s'inscrit dans le cadre du droit coutumier kabyle, qui suit une logique patriarcale de père en fils et exclut les femmes pour des raisons culturelles, à savoir l'obsession de conserver les biens au sein de la même famille, ce qui débouche sur des conflits familiaux et nuit à l'entreprise. -- Mot(s) clé(s) en français : transmission, gouvernance des PME, entreprise familiale, culture, religion, entreprise familiale algérienne. -- \nABSTRACT : In Algeria, since the economic crisis of 1988, clandestine artisanal trade production has experienced significant growth. Today, some of them have successfully transitioned to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the legal form of SARL and are engaged in intergenerational projects. The objective of the research is to support an Algerian SME in the implementation of its transmission project to Quebec. We observe that the governance system of SMEs is dominated by Kabyle cultural traits, characterized by informal governance bodies such as family gatherings, djemaâ, and patriarchal values, which have had a negative influence on the progress of transmission projects. We used a qualitative method, specifically auto-praxiography, and drew from autobiographical novels. The results of the study conclude that the concentration of leaders, the ownership structure characterized by indivision, and the informal dimension of the business hinder strategic project planning. Furthermore, succession is governed by Kabyle customary law, which follows a patriarchal logic of father-to-son transmission and excludes women for cultural reasons, namely the obsession with preserving assets within the same family, which is a major concern. -- Mot(s) clé(s) en anglais : Transmission, governance of SMEs entreprise familiale, family business, culture, religion, Algerian family businesses.
