Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, akademik ve idari personelin liyakatine ilişkin öğrenci algısının vakıf ve devlet üniversitelerinin kurumsal itibarına etkisini incelemektir. Bu doğrultuda araştırmanın verileri Marmara Bölgesinde eğitim hizmetlerinde bulunan özel üniversitelerin ve devlet üniversitelerinin öğrencilerinden (324 öğrenci) online anket yoluyla toplanmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgulara göre vakıf üniversitesi öğrencileri hem akademik hem de idari personel liyakatini devlet üniversitesi öğrencilerinden daha yüksek değerlendirmişlerdir. Çalışmanın ilgi çeken bulgusu, öğrencilere göre üniversitenin itibarı üzerinde, akademik personelden çok idari personelin (liyakatinin) etkisinin daha fazla olmasıdır. Bu sonuç, beklenenin aksine üniversitelerde destek hizmeti sunan idari personelin niteliğinin önemine vurgu yapmaktadır.
