Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

President Obama's executive action on immigration looks less likely than ever to be implemented before he leaves office, as a federal appeals court in New Orleans ruled 2-1 against his plan defer the deportation of some undocumented immigrants, AP Correspondent Kevin McGill explains the latest setback for Obama's plan... ((CLIP)) The majority upheld the judge's nationwide injunction order that halted the program, saying its up to Congress to address the immigration issue. 26 states have challenged the plan, which Republicans criticized as an illegal executive overreach when it was announced last November. The administration argued unsuccessfully it was within its rights to choose not to deport selected groups of immigrants, including those who were brought to the U-S illegally as children. Texas Governor Greg Abbot issued a statement praising the ruling while advocacy groups like the National Immigration Law Center called for an appeal to the Supreme Court.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
