La littérature scientifique retrouve une importante prévalence de troubles anxieux ou thymique chez le père en périnatalité. Les objectifs de cette étude sont de connaître les spécificités psychopathologiques durant la grossesse et des jours suivants un accouchement chez les pères afin de définir les besoins et donc des pistes d amélioration de la place du père en périnatalité. Cette étude est descriptive, prospective, non interventionnelle et monocentrique à la maternité du CH Laval. Les critères d'exclusion étaient l'âge du père inférieur à 18 ans, le décès de l'enfant, la prématurité et les situations sociales signalées. A la maternité, les pères ont été recrutés après signature d'un consentement écrit, libre, éclairé et révocable. La procédure a consisté à un entretien au cours duquel il est établie une passation du diagramme HARD (Humeur, Anxiété, Ralentissement, Danger) et la collecte de données médico-sociales et psychopathologique concernant la période de la grossesse et du post-partum immédiat. Le protocole a été validé par le comité d'éthique du CHU d'Angers. On retrouve une prévalence minimale de 2 cas atteints d'une dépression, 5 ont un score négatif mais une clinique préoccupante et 12 présentent une fragilité psychique. L'étude de la psychopathologie met en avant une fragilisation du père durant cette période en raison du passage entre le statut d'homme à celui de père. Cette transition est une véritable crise qui bouleverse la relation conjugale, la relation au père et la conception du rôle de père. L'abord du père en périnatalité et la sensibilisation des professionnels permettraient un accompagnement des plus fragiles.
