Abstract
The father of a teenager who spent 30 hours trapped in a car wreck in Australian woods said Tuesday he had followed his intuition by hiring the helicopter that found his seriously injured son. A dad with a hunch...and a helicopter was able to find his seriously injured son in the woods near Newcastle, Australia.Tony Lethbridge said he suspected his 17 year old son Samuel may have been in a car wreck when he didn't come home after a night out with friends.Tony said he followed his intuition to hire a helicopter Monday.He remembered that a victim of an earlier crash in the area had died after not being found for five days.He also got a discount for the ride.The car was spotted in scrub off a highway 12 miles from home.Samuel spent 30 hours trapped in the car.He remained in intensive care in a hospital with multiple fractures two days after the crash.
