Basado en la aplicación del Método de las Características al flujo compresible,\neste trabajo propone un código numérico hábil para capturar y seguir la evolución temporal\nde choques y discontinuidades de contacto. La contrastación más simple consiste en chequear\nlos resultados numéricos del problema de Riemann con la solución exacta correspondiente.\nAsimismo, el código soportó un test más exigente, la simulación del flujo transitorio,\nadiabático e invíscido en una tobera de Laval prolongada desde la descarga mediante un\nconducto de idéntica sección a la propia de descarga. El escurrimiento en la condición de\ndiseño se obtuvo numéricamente, siendo satisfactorio el ajuste de los resultados con la\nrespectiva predicción exacta. Asumiendo desarrollado el régimen de diseño, en el extremo de\nsalida de esa extensión se impuso la formación de un choque, el cual, conforme su intensidad,\nprogresa a favor o en contra del flujo. Fueron analizadas varias situaciones comprendidas en\nel último caso considerando que, al momento de aparecer el choque y sobre su lado corriente\nabajo, es establecida una presión intermedia entre las de entrada y de descarga en régimen\nde diseño. En consecuencia, a la formación del choque le sucede un flujo transiente que\nderiva hacia un régimen permanente accesible analíticamente. El excelente acuerdo entre\nestas soluciones exactas y los correspondientes campos numéricos convergidos corrobora la\nvalidez del código.
