Abstract
The concept behind the Dubrovnic History Museum revolves around the idea that a building does not necessarily have to be bound by the existing linear city grid. By linking different parts of a city block through a series of interweaving gallery passages, a cross section of history is created for the public to explore. Simultaneously the public are able to physically investigate the complex architectural history of this part of Dubrovnic as they pass through a series of breakout spaces that intersect the passageways and provide points for reflection.
