Abstract
As a creative village pastor, Béla Csekes maintained excellent foreign relations for the benefit of his fellow pastors suffering grievances. He spoke several languages and visited America, Canada, served in Bečej (Óbecse), Hungary. Then he returned to his narrow homeland. My aim is to raise public awareness to his life’s work, make known the magazine Református Világszemle (Reformed World Review), he published, which offers an excellent picture of the situation of the Reformed Church in the 1930s, not only overseas, but also in southern Slovakia, Transylvania, northern Serbia and Croatia. We can also find out what Csekes thought about Communism and its harmful effects.
