Deze studie gaat over de kwaliteit van belangenbehartiging op de Nederlandse markt voor belangenbehartigingsdienstverlening bij letselschadegevallen. De benadeelde die door letsel schade lijdt en daarvoor via het aansprakelijkheidsrecht compensatie wenst te verkrijgen van de aansprakelijke c.q. diens aansprakelijkheidsverzekeraar, wendt zich vaak tot een belangenbehartiger om dit te bewerkstelligen. Onder belangenbehartiging verstaan we dus het bijstaan door de belangenbehartiger van de benadeelde op grond van een contractuele opdracht van die benadeelde. Deze studie heeft als doelstelling het verkrijgen van inzicht in de samenstelling van de markt voor dienstverlening door belangenbehartigers, het verkrijgen van inzicht in kwaliteit van die belangenbehartiging en de factoren die deze kwaliteit bevorderen en belemmeren, en het verkrijgen van inzicht in mogelijke verbeteringen in die kwaliteit.
