Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelaksanaan tugas pengawasan yang dilakukan oleh Inspektorat Kabupaten Bulungan sebagai organisasi pengawasan internal pemerintah. Secara operasional, efektivitas organisasi Inspektorat Kabupaten Bulungan diukur dari dimensi produktivitas, kemampuan menyesuaikan diri dan kepuasan kerja Untuk menggali informasi yang dibutuhkan, maka metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptifkualitatif dengan mengkombinasikan analisis data sekunder dan wawancara mendalam. Selanjutnya data dijelaskan dan dipaparkan, \npengujiannya dilakukan melalui penjelasan argumentatif yang memuat proses penalaran dan penafsiran logis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisa maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa \npelaksanaan pengawasan di Inspektorat Kabupaten Bulungan dari dimensi produktivitas, kemampuan menyesuaikan diri dan kepuasan kerja. Dapat dikatakan 2 dimensi sudah cukup efektif yaitu dimensi produktivitas dan kepuasan kerja, sedangkan dimensi kemampuan menyesuaikan diri sudah efektif. Oleh karena itu untuk peningkatan efektivitas organisasi Inspektorat, disarankan agar menerapkan sistem peuilaian prestasi pegawai secara nyata, terbuka dan jujur, menerapkan sistem pemberian imbalan-hukuman, memanfaatkan standar pemeriksaan secara optimal dan menetapkan standar baku penyelesaian tindak lanjut hasil pemeriksaan, melakukan intervensi terhadap pengadaan pegawai terutarna PF A, menempatkan PF A sesuai kualifikasi dan spesialisasi bidang tugasnya, serta meningkatkan jalinan komunikasi dan arah diantara anggota-anggota organisasi.
