Abstract
La mayor parte de la producción de gas natural contiene, en diferentes grados, pequeñas moléculas de hidrocarburos además del metano. Aunque a presiones subterráneas existen en estado gaseoso, estas moléculas se condensan a presión atmosférica. Este condensado requiere, para su refinamiento, procesos más sencillos que los necesarios para el crudo. Entre sus aplicaciones finales se encuentran la producción de gasolina, diésel y combustibles de aviación como keroseno. \n \nEl objetivo de este proyecto consiste en realizar el diseño de los tanques de almacenamiento de condensado similares a los que tiene previsto fabricar la planta de licuefacción Canada LNG siguiendo la norma API 650. Se diseña la estructura del fondo, cuerpo y techo así como los accesorios, equipos de medida y las medidas de protección para evitar corrosión. Inicialmente se realiza un breve estudio acerca de la evolución de la tecnología y en lo que se refiere a la demanda y producción. Se completa con un estudio económico que tiene en cuenta la inversión inicial para la construcción de estos tanques, gastos anuales e ingresos derivados de la venta del condesado.
