Abstract
Az MNB 2016 decemberében, a múltbeli adatrevíziókon alapuló "ténybecsléseire" hivatkozva, önhatalmúlag felfelé revideálta a GDP első háromnegyedévi növekedéséről közölt KSHadatokat, amely "módszertani újításával" is igyekezett alátámasztani az egyébként tarthatatlan 2,8 százalékos éves növekedési prognózisát.A KSH 2017.márciusi közlése szerint mindössze 2 százalékkal nőtt a GDP 2016-ban, így az MNB "ténybecsléssel" kombinált decemberi prognózisa kudarcnak bizonyult.A jegybank mégsem adta fel: decemberi túlbecslését érdemi magyarázat nélkül hagyva, idei márciusi előrejelzésében a KSH által közöltnél 0,2 százalékponttal magasabb 2016.évi növekedéssel számolt.Az MNB eljárása etikai és szakmai szempontok alapján egyaránt kifogásolható: miközben kikezdi a hivatalos statisztikai adatok hitelét, előrejelzéseit saját korábbi és más elemzők prognózisaival is összehasonlíthatatlanokká teszi.Bár indokolt lehet a múltra vonatkozó adatok körüli bizonytalanság érzékeltetése, semmilyen szakmai megfontolás sem indokolja, hogy a jegybank -jelentős bizonytalansággal övezett -"ténybecsléseivel" írja felül a KSH érvényes adatait.
