Abstract
Objective: Systematize evidence on the effectiveness of intervention: case management to decrease patient visits in the emergency department.Material and Methods: Systematic observational and retrospective review, subject to analytical reading and using the GRADE evaluation system for the recognition of the level of evidence of articles published in the following databases: PubMed, Sciencedirect, Epistemonikos, Researchgate and Scielo .Of the 10 systematically reviewed articles being 100% high quality as described below: 60% (no.6/10) are systematic review and 40% (no.4/10) are randomized controlled trials belonging to U.S. countries (30%), followed by Canada (30 %), Switzerland (20%), England (10%) and Sweden (10%).Results: 100% (no.10/10) indicate that interventions: case management are effective in decreasing patient visits in the emergency department.Conclusion: Intervention: Case management are effective in reducing patient visits in the emergency department
