Abstract
Chez les Inuit, l’alimentation et la culture sont indissociables. L’alimentation de type traditionnelle étant celle de prédilection, son maintien et sa survie dans le temps sont donc d’une importance capitale pour ce peuple qui occupe ce territoire nordique du Québec depuis bien avant l’arrivée des colons français et anglais. L’insécurité alimentaire affecte négativement cette population et ce mémoire tente de participer à la construction d’une solution à ce problème. L’objectif principal de ce travail de recherche tourne autour de la proposition d’amener une contribution provenant du champ d’action du design vers une réflexion sur la place que pourrait occuper l’alimentation au sein des villages du Nunavik dans les prochaines décennies. La solution envisagée se présente comme un scénario prospectif d’un équipement communautaire inspiré des modèles de Centre communautaire d’alimentation, déjà présents un peu partout au Canada.
