Abstract
El presente trabajo tiene el objetivo de abordar a los miembros de dos familias, los Claudii Pompeiani y los Claudii Severi, estrechamente relacionadas con Marco Aurelio, el emperador filósofo. La primera, compuesta por descendientes de Ti. Claudius Pompeianus y Lucilla, hija de Marco, y la segunda, compuesta por los descendientes de Cn. Claudius Severus y Annia Galeria Aurelia Faustina, hija mayor del emperador filósofo. Ambas parejas serían los progenitores de una serie de personajes que intervendrían, en mayor o menor medida, en la vida política romana durante el reinado de la domus severiana ocupando cargos de suma importancia, como el consulado.
