Abstract
Han resultado auspiciosos los resultados del ensayo local de la Fase III de una vacuna producida en plantas contra el SARS-Cov-2 consistente en un novedoso abordaje del laboratorio canadiense Medicago, empresa biofarmacéutica originaria de Québec, que trabajó asociada con el consorcio británico GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). La vacuna resultante puede almacenarse en heladera, aspecto clave para los países en desarrollo que no tienen los recursos para mantener vacunas a temperaturas ultrafrías. Desde En Foco mantuvimos un diálogo con el líder del proyecto en la Argentina, el médico pediatra Gonzalo Pérez Marc, director del Departamento Materno-Infantil del Hospital Militar Central.
