Hovedbudskap\nDen systematiske oversikten vurderte akademiske/ skolestøttende tiltak utenfor skolen, for barn i alderen 5-13 år som sto i fare for å mislykkes i eller falle ut av skoleløpet. Oversikten identifiserer vanlige praksis-, prosess- og implementeringselementer, samt kombinasjonene av disse, i slike tiltak. \n\nResultatene viser at:\n\nVanlige praksiselementer er leksestøtte, trening i positiv foreldreinvolvering i skolen, positiv forsterking, strukturert veiledning, og psykoedukasjon.\nDet vanligste prosesselementet er hyppig støtte til den som mottar tiltaket.\nVanligste implementeringselement er kvalitetsmonitorering.\nDen vanligste kombinasjonen i effektive tiltak var at profesjonelle trente forsørgere i foreldreinvolvering hjemme og leksestøtte, kombinert med bruk av positiv støtte (reinforcement).\nDe fleste av studiene er gjennomført i USA (n=31), fire i Canada og én i Uruguay. Oversikten ble vurdert til å ha lav risiko for systematiske skjevheter med verktøyet ROBIS. \n\nStudiene favner en blandet populasjon av utsatte barn, hvor noen underpresterer på skolen, altså scorer lavt på akademiske vurderinger, og andre er utsatt på grunn av sosial bakgrunn eller familiesituasjon. Vi har noe moderat tillit til funnene, blant annet fordi det er uklart i hvilken grad disse resultatene kan overføres til en norsk kontekst, og i hvilken grad de vil treffe utsatte barn i familier med omfattende behov ettersom flere av studiene omhandler barn som underpresterer på skolen.
