Abstract
Cet ouvrage rassemble les textes rédigés au départ des contributions présentés par une vingtaine de spécialistes belges francophones et néerlandophones, français et québécois, lors d'un colloque organisé le 8 octobre 2004 à l’initiative du Conseil provincial de Namur. Ces contributions, actualisées, abordent notamment les relations Eglises - Etat, le financement des cultes et des organisations laïques, le rôle des pouvoirs, la répartition des compétences entre niveaux de pouvoirs et le patrimoine religieux. Le lecteur y trouvera également la retranscription de la table ronde de clôture du colloque, durant laquelle les représentants des partis politiques, des cultes reconnus et de la laïcité organisée se sont exprimés sur le système actuel de financement et sur les modifications éventuelles à y apporter.
