Abstract
The Health and Wellbeing Division was supported in the \ndevelopment of this policy by the HSE National Expert Group on \nVending who have come together as a multidisciplinary, cross \ndivisional group to deliver this policy; the Health Promotion Unit of \nthe Dept. of Health for ongoing advice and support. The published \nwork undertaken in the USA, Australia, Canada, Wales and New \nZealand was utilised in the development of the Policy. \nThe Health Service Executive (HSE) policy is that all food and drink \nvending machines vending confectionary, drinks, fruit, snacks and \nhot beverages will carry greater provision of clearly labeled ‘Better \nChoice’ than ‘Other Choice’ food and drink products to make the \nhealthy choice the easier choice in all HSE facilities.
