Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara alexithymia dengan child neglect pada orang tua berpendidikan rendah di Desa Paoh Benua, Sepauk, Kabupaten Sintang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 147 orang tua berpendidikan rendah di Desa Poah Benua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan dua Skala yaitu alexithymia (16 aitem) dan child neglect (20 aitem). Sampling yang digunakan teknik cluster random sampling, sedangkan analisis data penelitian menggunakan teknik pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,252 dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,002 (p<0,01) yang artinya terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara alexithymia dan child neglect. Alexithymia memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 6% terhadap Child Neglect. Artinya, sekitar 94% didapatkan dari variabel lain. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian, dapat disimupulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara alexithymia dengan child neglect pada orang tua berpendidikan rendah di Desa Paoh Benua.
