Abstract
Este caso es la aplicacion practica del indice Elcano desarrollado por el Real Instituto Elcano de Estudios Internacionales y Estrategicos de Espana Este indice mide el grado de interdependencia de la economia de un pais con respecto a otros paises El objetivo de este trabajo es su aplicacion practica al caso colombiano utilizando para tal efecto variables conforme a la realidad macroeconomica Los paises con los cuales se ha realizado la comparacion son Bolivia Brasil Canada Chile Ecuador Estados Unidos Espana Mexico Peru y Venezuela con los cuales Colombia tiene una mayor interrelacion comercial y economica Los resultados demuestran que su aplicacion al escenario colombiano es valida y permite desarrollar importantes estrategias en las relaciones comerciales internacionales
