Abstract
La disciplina italiana sull’immigrazione economica, ormai risalente, non consente di selezionare i lavoratori stranieri necessari. Non consente, perciò, di gestire entro la legalità un processo strutturale, indispensabile per lo sviluppo della società di destinazione. Movendo da queste premesse, l’Accademia di diritto e migrazioni (ADiM) ha avviato nel 2020 una ricerca volta a individuare, attraverso la comparazione con altri ordinamenti, i modelli e le soluzioni utili. Il volume raccoglie studi che esaminano non solo il caso italiano e i vincoli europei e internazionali sulle migrazioni economiche, ma anche il contesto storico e geopolitico, la legislazione e i problemi applicativi in altri Paesi occidentali di destinazione dei flussi migratori (Germania, Francia, Regno Unito, Stati Uniti, Canada, Irlanda, Portogallo, Spagna, Svezia e Svizzera). L’obiettivo è contribuire ad alimentare un dibattito costruttivo tra studiosi e policy-makers.
