Le Vieux-Québec : Patrimoine Mondial à la recherche d'une redéfinition inclusive et durable, de 1985 à nos jours

Abstract
Ce sujet s'inscrit dans le thème plus large de la gestion des Villes du Patrimoine mondial s'adaptant aux nouveaux défis du 21ᵉ siècle. Québec se présente comme une étude de cas permettant d'exemplifier une possibilité de réponse à ces défis, comme l'inclusion sociale ou l'urgence climatique. Ainsi cette réflexion répond au questionnement suivant : comment la Ville de Québec met-elle en place une approche patrimoniale inclusive et durable, pour s'adapter aux nouveaux défis urbains ? L'arrondissement historique du Vieux-Québec, classé sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO depuis 1985, sert de point de départ à une étude holistique de son patrimoine. Cette recherche entend adopter une méthodologie inédite en employant un cadre d'analyse synchronique et diachronique pour interroger la nomination du site à l'UNESCO, et lui appliquer les six étapes de l'approche du Paysage Urbain Historique (PUH) pour interroger sa situation actuelle. Les résultats mettent en lumière les dynamiques entre les différents acteurs concernés par le quartier classé, la pertinence du concept du PUH, et la redéfinition opérée par la ville de Québec pour une gestion inclusive et durable de son patrimoine.
