Abstract
Il presente elaborato si propone come commento letterario dell’intera produzione narrativa di Barbara Honigmann. La scrittrice, tedesca ma di origini ebraiche, si inserisce appieno nella generazione dei «Nachgeborene», ossia degli ebrei nati dopo la Shoa. Attraverso i suoi testi si delinea un percorso di riscoperta e di riappropriazione delle origini ebraiche, vincolato alla conoscenza del passato dei genitori e alla comprensione delle loro scelte, prima fra tutte quella di tornare in Germania alla fine della Seconda guerra mondiale. Oltre all’aspetto familiare emerge la necessità del confronto culturale, anche con altri raggruppamenti interni all’ebraismo, che diventa mezzo per la definizione della propria identità. Del testo più recente, «Chronik meiner Strasse» (2015), sono analizzati tanto gli aspetti tematici e letterari quanto quelli stilistici e linguistici. Tale analisi permette di inserire il testo nella tradizione della piccola «letteratura della confidenza», oltre a identificarne i tratti costitutivi, sui quali è necessario riflettere in sede di traduzione.
