Dentro de la lengua francesa podemos encontrar muchas variantes como la de Suiza, Bélgica, Camerún, Quebec… En este trabajo nos centraremos en analizar las particularidades de la variante de Quebec que hacen que se distinga del francés standard. En nuestro trabajo veremos algunos rasgos peculiares en la pronunciación del francés de Quebec, como por ejemplo la armonía vocálica, la pronunciación de las vocales largas, cambios en la pronunciación de la longitud de las vocales o las diferentes pronunciaciones de la consonante /r/. Igualmente, analizaremos el léxico del francés de Quebec y nos centraremos en los “québécismes” y los préstamos de distintas lenguas: el inglés, las lenguas amerindias y la lengua inuktitut. Gracias a las influencias y distintos contactos con estas lenguas encontramos una variante del francés standard con un léxico muy variado y rico. El francés de Quebec ha evolucionado de forma distinta desde que llegó a Canadá y seguirá evolucionando gracias al continuo contacto que mantiene con estas lenguas.
