Abstract
The election of September 4, 2012 is in many ways exceptional. The Parti Québécois signs its fifth victory, under the leadership of a woman - the first to hold the highest office in the province - and in a context marked by allegations of corruption against the outgoing Liberal government. The evening of the elections itself turns to drama: a man is killed and another wounded by a shooter who was trying to shoot the new prime minister during his speech to the militants.\n\nThe best specialists in electoral phenomena in Quebec gathered around this extraordinary election to try to understand its dynamics. Here they present the most complete picture to date of the different protagonists: the parties, the media and the citizens. This book, intended to serve as a reference, will interest not only researchers and students in political science and social sciences, but also all observers of the Quebec political scene.
