Abstract
La communication a pour but d’examiner un processus relié au développement et à la gouvernance touristiques dans une région rurale selon un modèle de développement touristique. Le développement touristique prend racine dans un élément déclencheur et démarre véritablement avec un groupe d’intervenants. La phase d’évaluation communautaire permet une forme de sensibilisation au projet en plus de se doter de valeurs communes. L’une des plus importantes phases est celle d’organisation et de planification. À partir de l’exemple de la région Évangéline, Île-du-Prince-Édouard, on constate qu’il existe une vision commune du développement touristique et de la gouvernance, sans toutefois posséder les installations en nombre suffisant. La région étant éloignée d’une zone émettrice importante rend la situation encore plus difficile.
