L’Archéologie filmée au premier plan. En premier lieu, c’est l’histoire d’une émission de Pierre Barde et Henri Stierlin, laquelle, au cours de 11 saisons vagabondes et bien remplies (1965 à 1975) entraîna le public de la Télévision Suisse Romande et ceux des Chaînes partenaires canadienne et belge «d’expression française» (SRC et RTBF) à la découverte du fascinant «Héritage de l’homme» tel que le révélaient des générations d’Archéologues et d’Explorateurs-Chercheurs, tout à la fois rigoureux scientifiques et communicateurs passionnés à l’oeuvre tout autour de la planète terre. 12 films en noir-blanc (les 4 premiers cycles: 1964-1967) et 21 films en couleurs (les 7 cycles suivants: 1967-1975). Pierre Barde,réalisateur et producteur à la Télévision Suisse Romande (RTS depuis 2012), a été l’un des premiers à estimer et à mettre en valeur le film amateur à la télévision. Il est l’auteur d’environ 150 documentaires pour la télévision. Préface de Gilbert Kaenel, ancien directeur du Musée cantonal d’archéologie et d’histoire (Lausanne) et professeur à l’Université de Genève.
