Ce mmoire s'articule en deux parties : un texte de cration et une analyse critique.Dans Les Violences internes, j'adopte la forme du composite de rcits brefs afin de profiter de sa plasticit et librer mon criture des principes de linarit, de continuit et d'unit.J'ai cherch unifier les cinq rcits par le retour des mmes protagonistes, Dorothy et Linda. La deuxime section, Le Composite de rcits brefs dans le cycle manitobain de Gabrielle Roy,propose plutt une tude de cette forme dans trois oeuvres de Gabrielle Roy : Rue Deschambault, La Route d'Altamont et Ces enfants de ma vie.J'ai analys l'utilisation de l'ellipse entre les rcits et la voix narrative, ou plutt comment la narratrice se ddouble dans chacune de ces oeuvres.
