McDonald's moving to eggs from cage-free chicken in U.S. and Canada stores McDonald's says it's going to only use eggs from cage-free chickens in its U-S and Canadian restaurants. The move will be completed over the next ten years in 16 thousand locations... McDonald's buys more than two billion eggs a year in the U-S and Canada alone...and that number is likely to rise following its announcement of all-day breakfast options. It began to move towards using eggs from cage-free birds four years ago making up about 10 percent of its current egg supply. The company is looking to up its appeal to consumers who are quickly moving to other options that feature sustainable and more humane products. McDonald's has already promised that by 2017...all of the chicken is uses would raised without antibiotics...saying it's \important to human medicine.\
