Cette étude de cas sur le Centre local de développement (CLD) de Rimouski-Neigette s'inscrit dans une recherche sur les CLD et la gouvernance locale au Québec menée par une équipe de chercheurs dirigée par Benoît Lévesque(UQAM), Marguerite Mendell (Université de Concordia) et Louis Favreau (UQO). La réalisation de l'étude a été rendue possible grâce à la supervision de Carol Saucier (UQAR) et à la contribution d'intervenants de la MRC Rimouski-Neigette qui ont accepté de participer aux entrevues. Les informations recueillies l'ont été grâce à deux techniques qualitatives : des entrevues semi-dirigées et la recherche documentaire. Le présent rapport comporte trois parties dont voici quelques indications : Première partie : Contexte d'émergence. Cette partie décrit le portrait de la MRC Rimouski-Neigette pour ensuite nous présenter les conditions d'implantation du CLD. Deuxième partie : Le profil du CLD Rimouski-Neigette. Dans cette partie, l'accent est mis sur les dimensions institutionnelles et organisationnelles du CLD en question. Pour ce faire, on analyse respectivement les éléments de gouvernance, le PALÉE et les activités et services offerts ainsi que les fonds, volets et mesures disponibles. Troisième partie : Bilan et avenir du CLD Rimouski-Neigette. Cette dernière partie est consacrée, quant à elle, à dresser un bilan de l'ensemble des réalisations du CLD Rimouski-Neigette ainsi qu'à anticiper des perspectives d'avenir.
