Abstract
In the light of the most recent findings, this article aims to discuss Greek metrology, a challengingtopic that has taken and takes up a large part of the specialists' time and effort. This is a key question for many scholars who tried, sincethe last quarter of the 19th century to the present, to understand and expose the design intentions that guided Greek architects when developing their complex formal architecture guided by orders. The article thus presents a discussion aboutthe units of measurement in ancient Greece and the problems arising from their interpretation. Metrology has become an important tool for analyzing buildings from Antiquity, as well as for deducing the metric system of Greece. Other methods have been combined with metrology to serve as a basis for the interpretation of architectural design, for example, of Greek temples, namely: geometric, proportional, modular and statistical analyzes
