Abstract
Book, hardcover. A comprehensive bilingual dictionary documenting the stems, roots, postbases, endings, and enclitics of Iñupiaq, the Inuit language of Alaska's North Slope. A detailed grammatical overview is included as are quotations from native speakers, which explain the meaning of stems that require a cultural context to understand. Also includes extensive appendices that group stems into culturally significant categories Illustrated.
