Abstract
El tema principal que da lugar a este trabajo es la producción, reproducción y uso de murales realizados en homenaje a jóvenes fallecidos por muertes violentas, analizando de qué manera las imágenes producidas podrían funcionar como mediadoras simbólicas en el procesamiento del sufrimiento colectivo. El trabajo se respalda en instancias de investigación sobre obras públicas producidas en el Partido de La Plata durante las últimas década, en el marco de mis estudios en la licenciatura y maestría en Estética y Teoría del Arte en la Facultad de Artes UNLP, con continuidad actualmente en el Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales UBA. Las intervenciones artísticas conmemorativas abordadas fueron realizadas por familiares de los jóvenes en colaboración de otras personas cercanas como amigos, compañeros y vecinos. Detrás de estos casos se reiteran formas de muerte que se pueden relacionar con las trayectorias de vida de los mismos chicos. Se trata de muertes prematuras que van desde los 15 a 30 años, donde los motivos se repiten entre accidentes de tránsito, peleas entre grupos, casos de abuso policial o conflictos en contextos delictivos.
