Abstract
Les jeunes sont souvent décriés pour leur apathie politique, notamment parce que les formes d’engagement qu’ils déploient sont parfois peu légitimées socialement. Les chapitres rassemblés dans ce livre visent à contribuer à la reconnaissance et à la compréhension de la diversité des formes de l’action politique des jeunes aujourd’hui dans plusieurs contextes sociopolitiques (au Québec et au Canada, en Europe, en Amérique latine et ailleurs). \n \nCe livre retrace les processus qui favorisent ou non l’engagement politique des jeunes, par le regard croisé d’études rigoureuses portant tantôt sur des formes d’action politique attendues des pouvoirs publics (le vote, la participation associative), tantôt sur des formes plus contestataires (notamment chez des jeunesses marginalisées), en passant par des modes plus diffus de résistance au pouvoir. \n \nDe cette panoplie de manières de s’engager se dégage le portrait de jeunesses variées, mais loin d’être apathiques.
