Abstract
Syftet med studien är att undersöka om det finns något signifikant samband mellan den verkställande direktören och företagets prestation efter börsnotering. Författarna hoppas studien kan bidra med ny kunskap och inspirera för framtida studier på området. Datan består av 777 företags noteringar på de nordiska handelsmarknaderna Nasdaq Stockholm, Nasdaq Copenhagen, Nasdaq Helsinki, Oslo Børs, First North och Oslo Axess. All aktiekursdata är på daglig basis och insamling av data har skett via databaserna: Zephyr, Datastream, Bloomberg och Finansinspektionen. Företagsspecifik information har inhämtats via prospekt och företagens årsredovisningar. Studien uppvisade att två av de valda variablerna hade signifikant positiv påverkan på företagets långsiktiga prestation. Företag som bytt VD efter börsnotering påvisade att prestationen signifikant skiljde sig från företag med samma VD. Någon signifikant skillnad i prestation mellan branscher gick inte att påvisa. För urvalet presterade företagen signifikant bättre än valt jämförelseindex.
