Abstract
The period with the longest stages in human development is adulthood. In this stage, adult individuals will experience a developmental crisis or what is known as the quarter life crisis. Quarter life crisisis a period in which human life when adolescence and adulthood is between 18-25 years old which is characterized by confusion, anxiety, and the emergence of emotional crises such as isolation, sadness, and fear of failure in the future. This study aims to empirically test the influence of self-confidence and self-esteem on the quarter life crisisat the Faculty of Psychology and Health UIN Walisongo Semarang. The subjects in this study are 150 students of the Faculty of Psychology and Health UIN Walisongo Semarang class of 2020. The sampling technique used is a probability sampling technique with a type of sampling using cluster random sampling. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a causality approach. In this study, a scale was used as a measuring tool with three scales consisting of a quarter life crisisscale, a confidence scale, and a self-esteem scale. The data was analyzed using the assumption test and hypothesis test methods. The results of the third hypothesis test showed that there was no effect of self-confidence on the quarter life crisisin students of the Faculty of Psychology and Health UIN Walisongo Semarang class of 2020 with a significance value of 0.337 > 0.05, there was a very significant influence of self-esteem on the quarter life crisisof 0.000 (p <0.05), and there was an influence of confidence and self-esteem on the quarter life crisisin students of the Faculty of Psychology and Health UIN Walisongo Semarang class of 2020 with a significance value of 0.024. The results of this study show that there is a significant influence of confidence and self-esteem on the quarter life crisisof 42.5%. With this research, it is hoped that students will be able to gain knowledge about self-confidence, self-esteem, and quarter life crisis. Dalam tahapan ini individu dewasa akan mengalami krisis perkembangan atau yang dikenal dengan masa quarter life crisis. Quarter life crisis adalah masa di mana kehidupan manusia ketika usia remaja dan dewasa antara 18-25 tahun yang ditandai dengan rasa bingung, rasa cemas, serta munculnya krisis emosional seperti isolasi, kesedihan, dan rasa takut terhadap kegagalan dimasa yang akan datang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh kepercayaan diri dan harga diri terhadap quarter life crisis di Fakultas Psikologi dan Kesehatan UIN Walisongo Semarang. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 150 mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi dan Kesehatan UIN Walisongo Semarang angkatan 2020. Teknik sampling yang diguakan adalah teknik probability sampling dengan jenis pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kausalitas. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala sebagai alat ukut dengan tiga skala yang terdiri dari skala quarter life crisis, skala kepercayaan diri, dan skala harga diri. Data analisis dengan menggunakan metode uji asumsi dan uji hipotesis. Hasil uji ketiga hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap quarter life crisispada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi dan Kesehatan UIN Walisongo Semarang angkatan 2020 dengan nilai signifikasi 0,337 > 0,05, adanya pengaruh sangat signifikan harga diri terhadap quarter life crisis 0,000 (p <0,05), serta adanya pengaruh kepercayaan diri dan harga diri terhadap quarter life crisispada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi dan Kesehatan UIN Walisongo Semarang angkatan 2020 dengan nilai signifikasi 0,024. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat pengaruh signifikan kepercayaan diri dan harga diri terhadap quarter life crisis sebesar 42,5%. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan mahasiswa mampu memperoleh pengetahuan mengenai kepercayaan diri, harga diri, dan quarter life crisis.
