Observation of a new Ï<inf>b</inf>state in radiative transitions to Y(1S) and Y(2S) at ATLAS
Bibliographic record
Abstract
The χ b (nP) quarkonium states are produced in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider at √s=7TeV and recorded by the ATLAS detector. Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.4fb - 1, these states are reconstructed through their radiative decays to Υ(1S,2S) with Υ→μ + μ - . In addition to the mass peaks corresponding to the decay modes χ b (1P,2P)→Υ(1S)γ, a new structure centered at a mass of 10.530±0.005(stat)±0.009(syst)GeV is also observed, in both the Υ(1S)γ and Υ(2S)γ decay modes. This structure is interpreted as the χ b (3P) system. © 2012 CERN.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
