A constituição do campo das artes no contexto universitário não isola as actividades adjacentes que o constituem. Numa perspectiva sistémica, de resto, uma definição desse campo não pode não incluir essas actividades, estabelecendo entre a criação artística e a sua recepção, ensino, teorização, investigação e circulação vínculos sistémicos incontornáveis. Procuramos aqui essas relações sob o signo da articulação e procuramos com a organização desta conferência evidenciaras relações sistémicas entre investigação e ensino; entre docência e criação artística; entre práticas artísticas e práticas profissionais; entre teoria e prática; entre sistemas de avaliação e crítica; entre modos de transmissão e apropriação.
