Abstract
Le présent ouvrage plaide d'abord et avant tout pour une reconnaissance juridique de la laïcité de l'État par le gouvernement du Québec. Les auteurs explicitent les dimensions essentielles d'une laïcité sans adjectif, formulent des critiques à l'égard de la laïcité dite "ouverte" et insistent sur la place décisive qu'occupent les femmes dans ce projet urgent de reconnaissance de la laïcité. Le lecteur y trouvera également un modèle de charte de la laïcité pour le Québec et une analyse des jugements récents de la cour suprême du Canada en matière de laïcité.
