'Ruggie' alarm clock requires people to get out of bed

Abstract
If you can't seem to get out of bed without hitting the snooze alarm a number of times, a new product by a Canadian man may be your answer. UPI says Winston Tam has come up with the idea for a pressure-based alarm clock built into a rug that only shuts off when people stand on it for more than three seconds. It's called Ruggie - and once stepped on, it also delivers motivational quotes. Tam launched a Kickstarter campaign for Ruggie and managed to exceeded his goal of around 36-thousand-dollars in just five days. In fact, UPI says he raised about 97-thousand for it. Ruggie is expected to start selling in September for 99--bucks.
