Abstract
Le séminaire METIS sur le renseignement et les sociétés démocratiques consacre sa huitième saison aux perspectives européennes du renseignement. Malgré quelques réalisations issues des guerres balkaniques des années 1990 et de la coordination anti-terroriste, il n’existe pas à proprement parler aujourd’hui de politique ou de structure européenne de renseignement. Le rôle persistant des souverainetés nationales a en effet conduit à rappeler dans le Traité sur l’union européenne que la sécurité nationale demeure de la seule responsabilité des Etats membres. Le renseignement européen est-il pour autant un « non-sujet » ?
