Abstract
Wideo przestawia aktualny stan środowiska przyrodniczego i krajobrazu na Svalbardzie, w 30 kilometrowej części południowo-wschodniego wybrzeża Spitsbergenu nad Morzem Barentsa z przesmykiem lodowym między Sørkapplandem (południowym półwyspem) i resztą Spitsbergenu. To wybrzeże jest znacznie mniej rozpoznane niż zachodnie wybrzeże nad Morzem Grenlandzkim z powodu trudnej dostępności. W 2005 r. wyprawa Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego dokonała jego szczegółowego rekonesansu a w 2016 wróciliśmy tam aby powtórzyć badania i pokazać wielkie zmiany spowodowane recesją lodowców pod wpływem bieżącego ocieplenia klimatu. Aktualny stan południowowschodniego wybrzeża jest diametralnie inny niż ten pokazywany na niedawno wydawanych mapach. Projekt korzysta ze wsparcia Fundacji Księcia Monako Alberta II www.fpa2.com.
